National HIV Testing Week

If you are 16 or older and having a blood test this week, we will offer you an HIV test. This is because HIV is easier to treat when it is found early. The test is quick and safe. You can say no if you do not want it.
HIV can affect anyone, and testing is the only way to know your HIV status. Whatever the result, it helps you stay in control of your health.
If the result is normal, you will not be contacted but will be able to see your result in the NHS App. We will only contact people who need follow‑up.
If you have questions, please ask a member of our team.
